Maureen Hesslau is a full time 6-12 math subject specialist.  She graduated from Spring Arbor University with degrees in Mathematics, Psychology, and Secondary Education.  She is entering her 32nd year of teaching and her 18th year at Jackson Public Schools.

Mrs. Hesslau recommends SCMV because it provides a flexibility that traditional brick and mortar schools cannot.  SCMV provides students opportunities to work independently, but also students can have one on one help from a subject specialist when needed.    Also, as a math subject specialist, Mrs. Hesslau enjoys building relationships with her students to help to foster mathematical confidence.

In her free time, Mrs. Hesslau is active in her church and enjoys spending time with her family.
