We understand that everyone learns differently, South Central Michigan Virtual (SCMV) customizes the curriculum to match each student. These specialized learning solutions are tailored to each students’ interests and abilities.
We offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses and dual enrollment opportunities, providing your student(s) with the chance to earn college credits. SCMV is proud to partner with Adrian, Baker, and Jackson colleges, plus Siena Heights and Spring Arbor universities.
Students who have struggled with traditional classrooms will flourish at SCMV. Our self-paced online classes and supportive learning environment give students the best chance at success. Sometimes a change of scenery is necessary because other schools, for various reasons, weren’t a good fit. When given the freedom to work at their own pace and at their own chosen time, students find the missing spark.
Homeschooling families also benefit from SCMV. We have the tools and the experience to help students thrive and succeed in online classes. Families can maintain a virtual learning structure while utilizing the SCMV staff and resources.
Your child’s road to academic success can include some detours along the way and school can be a major source of anxiety. That’s why we have a team of certified counselors at SCMV. We provide a safe environment to support students academically and emotionally.
The guide to online learning is a good resource for parents who are trying to determine if virtual school is the right fit for their student. The guide will help parents identify the characteristics of a successful online learner and how best to prepare for this type of education.
